George Wood BA ACA

Director

George trained at a Top 10 accountancy practice in Liverpool before transferring to New York where he worked across the audit and transaction services teams for public listed entities. George joined bennettbrooks in 2017 as Audit Manager and has since become a Director responsible for signing the audit reports for a small portfolio of audit clients also supporting our non-audit client base with their technical financial reporting matters.

As the firms Qualified Person Responsible for Training (“QPRT”), George supports our ACA trainees as they work towards qualification, including support with their training files and apprenticeship requirements. He particularly enjoys seeing the transition that trainees go through from their first day through to qualification and beyond.

George sits on the bennettbrooks Operational Leadership Team, his current focus is to progressing the practices BCorp accreditation alongside enhancing the career development opportunities that we offer.

George is married and lives in Cheshire with his wife and young son.  When not working he enjoys spending time his family and working out at the gym.
