The Government has extended the deadline to 31st July 2023 to fill any gaps in your national insurance record.
You can fill in any gaps in your national insurance years as far back as 2006 but after 31 July, you can only go back 6 tax years (which is to 5 April 2017). In addition, the cost of filling those gaps will stay at the same level instead of rising as originally planned.
