Service Desk Analyst

We are the Managed IT Services provider arm of a Top 100 accountancy practice, with over 30 years of exceptional service to SME organisations, from small start-ups to larger businesses. With competencies in infrastructure, virtualisation, cloud, voice, platform integration and development we support in the region of 4000 endpoints across 100+ client locations on a primarily remote basis. You will be joining an established team of experienced analysts with experience across the Microsoft on-premises stack, plus Azure, Google and Amazon cloud platforms. This position offers exposure to a variety of physical and virtual environments, insight into different industries, with frequent opportunity to use new technologies. Specification & Requirements

This position is responsible for providing technical support to internal and external supported users in a desktop, server, cloud, and infrastructure environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed to be successful in this position in addition to being a competent self-motivator/manager. The ability to support the installation and maintenance of client PC/Server hardware and software with the ability to perform network deployments is required.

 Responsibilities

  • Create, Update and Respond to ticket requests either via email or phone, with professional and timely responses.
  • Provide support to clients primarily remotely.
  • Correct faults and provide resolution of complex problem tickets
  • Perform computer and network troubleshooting and upgrades
  • Assist in the creation of processes and procedures for client tasks
  • Contribute to the administration of network backup and disaster recovery
  • Contribute to the implementation of projects

 

 Skills 

  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems up to Windows 10
  • Knowledge and experience of Office 365 Support and Configuration.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server
  • Understanding of network switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Virtualization with Microsoft Hyper-V a plus.
  • Troubleshooting, project management, initiative and professionalism are important.

 

Experience

  • At least five years industry experience required
  • At least three years managed service provider experience required

Contract type: Permanent

Location: Hybrid – Altrincham and home

Hours of work: Full or Part-time between Monday – Friday with out of hours support as required

Salary: up to £43,200 FTE per annum, raising to £46,000 upon successful completion of probation.
