Yvonne Wood FCA
Managing Director
Looking back over the years since I started in practice on my 30 birthday I wonder where the years have gone. What I then lacked in experience I made up for in boundless energy and enthusiasm. While I may not have the same energy, I have certainly gained experience.
I love my job and am fortunate to work with a great team of people and some wonderful clients. One of the reasons for starting out on my own was to be able to choose who I worked with and for and I have never regretted the decision.
I now spend a great deal of time managing the practice and looking for ways to make us both a great employer as well as a practice that delivers exceptional client service and high technical competence. I was thrilled when we were voted the Best Medium Sized Practice in the Accounting Web Practice Excellence Awards and subsequently short-listed in the Accountancy Age Best Accountancy Employer Award. Setting difficult goals provides a focus that helps us improve and achieve better standards.
Currently, we are working towards the BCorp accreditation and have recently become an accredited living wage employer. It is so important that we build the right team around us, making sure that we look after our clients, people and the environment to the best of our ability.
